Accessibility statement

Exit the Classroom strives to make this platform accessible in line with the Austrian Accessibility Act (BaFG) and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA.

Compliance status

The platform is largely compliant: all functions can be operated by keyboard, form fields are labelled, puzzle graphics are complemented by text, in-game feedback is announced to screen readers, and the layout adapts to screen size, text enlargement (up to 200 %) and the system setting for reduced motion.

Non-accessible content

The crossword and the matching of symbols (door code) require visual perception; these puzzles can be operated by keyboard, but their images are only partly described. Teachers can choose alternative games for teams with visual impairment or support them with the solution sheet. We are working on a complete text alternative.

Preparation of this statement

This statement is based on a self-assessment with automated testing tools and manual tests (keyboard operation, screen reader, contrast check).
